Situated in the creative heart of East London with it’s iconic gas towers, Oval Space was the chosen backdrop for an evening of eclectic music and light art. Guests were welcomed by a bespoke laser show which took elements of their logo and projected concentric circles and visual patterns of audio waves over the towers.
After a drinks reception on the terrace, guests moved through into the main room to take their seats on long banqueting tables displaying multi-layer reliefs of some of London’s iconic landmarks down the centre, including famous music venues and Spotify’s new headquarters the Adelphi building. The multiple buildings were lit from within and created a stunning infinity effect in the floor to ceiling windows.
To echo these, a London skyline was projected onto the stage and slowly revolved during dinner, introducing different light effects throughout the various parts of the evening. A sumptuous three course feast was served and finished with a chocolate tart with honeycomb popcorn hidden under a luminous orb which glowed as the UV cannons above were powered up.
The evening’s comic compere Doc Brown kicked off proceedings and introduced electric string trio Siren who entertained with a series of dramatic classical numbers. After Doc’s specially composed rap showcasing the year’s highlights and staff achievements, our interactive dancers with their eye catching geometric head pieces then led guests to the dance floor for the second act of the evening, the up and coming songstress Jade Bird.
Our UV glitter girls ensured everyone shimmered on the dance floor as the Spotify house DJ’s and Semtex took to the decks accompanied by an amazing light show combined with kaleidoscopic projections mapping the stage and crowd. The party went on into the early hours and a GIF booth was on hand to capture the flashing psychedelic visuals.
