As a departure from last year’s warehouse space, we were tasked with sourcing a large historical venue for this year’s Holiday celebration and developing an engaging theme with music as a red thread throughout the guest journey.
D E L I V E R Y
The spectacular Painted Halls at The Old Royal Naval College was the stand out choice for the backdrop and inspired by the Repeat Rewind campaign, a creative theme of "Rewound in Sound - The MixTape” was chosen to compliment the spectacular baroque architecture and take guests on a journey back through time.
Guests were whisked down the Thames in two private Clipper charters, taking in the views of London whilst enjoying a prosecco reception and a bespoke video and soundtrack showing famous music moments throughout the eras, accompanied by a dance flash mob in quick change costumes.
On arrival guests were guided through the impressive grounds and were left awestruck as they entered the Painted Halls, dubbed the Sistine Chapel of the UK, with its breathtaking paintings on the walls and ceiling.
As a juxtaposition to the grand, historic setting, rows of long banqueting tables with ghost chairs and bespoke cassette tape light pieces gave a modern edge - while personalised record vinyls on each guest place invited them to work as a group to solve a challenge to gain access to an immersive after party experience.
As guests enjoyed a sumptuous three course dinner, they were treated to a surprise musical interlude of Mozart's 40 followed by a bespoke hip hop mash up, specially arranged and performed up by a 15 piece orchestra.. definitely a show stopper!
Guests made their way through a long lit walkway to the after party to be greeted by a special Hiplet hip hop ballet performance and “rewound" GIF photo experience, then danced the night away to the nostalgic sounds of Faithless’ Maxi Jazz supported by the always fabulous Krystal Roxx.
Hidden in a secret room, guests could discover a private disco with sound to light experience and vibrating Subpacs to enhance the listening experience.
