The theme for this year’s Summer celebration was “Sounds Of The City” to celebrate the diverse musical heritage and culture of our beloved capital.

Drawing on three areas of London famous for their different musical styles, we chose a venue we could split onto zones which took guests on a journey throughout the event.

 

Guests started the afternoon in the sunshine of Flat Iron Square in Southwark which was decorated in a colourful Carnival theme in celebration of the infamous annual Notting Hill street parade.

A steel pan band serenaded guests on arrival, later offering them the opportunity to learn to play and in house DJ’s performed on the Spotify sound system stage.

In the Camden area street food traders opened for business serving bao buns and sourdough pizza’s alongside jerk chicken while a brilliant caricaturist captured the guests in comedy style and popular real talk podcast show The Receipts provided hilarious “Voices of the City” anecdotes.

​

As the sun set, live music venue Omeara opened its doors to the guests where bespoke street art murals adorned the bar and a DIY stencil wall invited guests to make their mark.

 

Surprise act The Wombats performed a live show in the intimate gig room before our world champion beat box duo regaled the audience with their skills and DJ Krystal Roxx closed the night on a high.
